Lymphocyte Growth Supplement (LGS)is an inexpensive media additive that greatly improves lymphocyte cell growth and morphology by exposing these cells to growth factors that are known as growth promoters. Preliminary feedback from laboratories in the UK has shown that a 1% concentration of Lymphocyte Growth Supplement has been found to be beneficial to lymphocyte cultures, bringing time in culture down from 72 hours to 48 hours. A boosted mitotic index has also been reported, as well as improved chromosome morphology.
